There is a lot of focus nowadays on communicating across cultures & nationalities, there's is often greater confusion between those from e same culture who speak e same languages. It all come down to e words we choose.
While language has meaning & clarity that allow us to communicate with each other in a way superior to all other creatures, it also had a vagueness & ambiguity that promises it - creating misunderstanding, frustration & lost opportunities....
